With an expanded turning capacity of 16.5” and a rapid traverse speed of 984 inches per minute, this 12-station turret machine tool is built for power and versatility. G&N Rubicon Adds New Gear Service Capacity G&N Rubicon is pleased to announce the acquisition of two new CNC gear cutting machines. Our new Bourn & Koch 400H Series II CNC hobbing machine gives the G&N gear service division the ability to hob gears and splines on shafts up to 76” long and 16” in diameter with full 7-axis computerized control. Our gear shaping department now has four CNC gear shaping machines with the addition of our new Bourn & Koch MS300. This 7-axis CNC shaper can handle internal and external pitch diameters up to 12” with a maximum stroke length of 5.9”. These major additions to our gear service division provide the latest gear manufacturing technology, and represent our ongoing commitment of quality and reliability to our customers. Multi-Functional Machining at G&N Rubicon G&N Rubicon has entered a whole new realm of turning productivity with our new Okuma Captain L370 CNC Lathe. This powerhouse machine has two spindles and one 12-station turret working in tandem to finish your parts in one swift operation instead of two or three or four. The amazing flexibility of this new technology means that G&N Rubicon not only can produce more parts per hour, but can produce them at lower overall cost with improved quality and reliability. Coupled with an LNS Quickload Servo S3 Automatic Bar Feeder, the Okuma Captain L370 can run unattended for hours at a time, bringing a lights-out, 24-7 manufacturing capability to our turning department. G&N Rubicon has always been at the forefront of efficiency-enhancing machining technology. Our new CNC lathe is just the latest addition in a long line of precision machining advancements at G&N Rubicon.

G&N Rubicon Increases Machining Capacity G&N Rubicon has added three new CNC machines to increase the size capacity of our custom parts machining operations. Our two new YCI MV-106A Vertical Machining Centers have an XYZ work envelope capacity of 40.0” x 23.6” x 23.6”. Combined with a 20-hp, 8,000-rpm high-torque spindle, these VMCs have the flexibility to machine a wide range of sizes, configurations and materials. Our new YCI TC-36 Heavy Duty CNC Turning Center is equipped with a 35-hp motor and can handle a 23.2” diameter x 47.0” long work piece. Our larger CNC milling and turning capabilities, along with the increase in our overall CNC machining capacity, enables G&N Rubicon to better serve the growing demand for our custom parts machining customers. New Visual Manufacturing ERP Software Our new, state-of-the-art software from LSA brings a whole new level of information and workflow management to G&N Rubicon.
