G&N Rubicon Adds New Gear Service CapacityG&N Rubicon is pleased to announce the acquisition of two new CNC gear cutting machines. Our new Bourn & Koch 400H Series II CNC hobbing machine gives the G&N gear service division the ability to hob gears and splines on shafts up to 76” long and 16” in diameter with full 7-axis computerized control. Our gear shaping department now has four CNC gear shaping machines with the addition of our new Bourn & Koch MS300. This 7-axis CNC shaper can handle internal and external pitch diameters up to 12” with a maximum stroke length of 5.9”. These major additions to our gear service division provide the latest gear manufacturing technology, and represent our ongoing commitment of quality and reliability to our customers. G&N Rubicon Increases Machining CapacityG&N Rubicon has added three new CNC machines to increase the size capacity of our custom parts machining operations. Our two new YCI MV-106A Vertical Machining Centers have an XYZ work envelope capacity of 40.0” x 23.6” x 23.6”. Combined with a 20-hp, 8,000-rpm high-torque spindle, these VMCs have the flexibility to machine a wide range of sizes, configurations and materials. Our new YCI TC-36 Heavy Duty CNC Turning Center is equipped with a 35-hp motor and can handle a 23.2” diameter x 47.0” long work piece. Our larger CNC milling and turning capabilities, along with the increase in our overall CNC machining capacity, enables G&N Rubicon to better serve the growing demand for our custom parts machining customers.
